The study collects data from 1532 respondents through survey based on structured questionnaire from Pakistan. The study applies SEM based model to quantify the pro-environmental behavior of voters in terms of mitigation and adaptation. Climate Change Belief appears to be the strongest explanatory variable to determine the pro-environmental behavior. Environmental quality appears to be the most explaining exogenous variable followed by Climate Change knowledge where trust in politics appears to be the least explanatory variable in predicting Belief in Climate Change and Source Credibility. Belief comparatively explain pro-environmental behavior more than source credibility. The mitigation actions appears to be more acceptable for respondents than adaptation. The study analyzes the Climate Change Politicization by qualitatively examining the manifestos of the main stream political parties for the general election 2018 in Pakistan. To verify the views expressed in party manifesto and finding from the primary data, the study conducts face to face interviews with Politicians from legislative assembly of the Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan. The study triangulates the primary survey of voters with SEM base quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis of manifestos of political parties with the results of the interviews conducted from Politicians. The finding highlight public’ understanding of ‘socio-scientific issues, and how political parties are framing and communicating about ‘Climate Change’, and how they play a significant role in promoting Climate Change actions. Different political systems process same scientific data to develop different Climate Change strategies and actions.
