从全球视野的角度研究南中国海贸易圈的发展变迁，有助于更加理性看待今日的南海争端，促进途经南中国海的贸易繁荣。数千年来，南中国海主要是一个合作互利的开放海域，是沟通中国同世界各国联系的友谊海域。中外各国在这片海域发展了贸易，交流了文明，迁移了人口，促进了经济社会发展。 论文将南中国海区域史置于全球史研究视域下，以环南中国海地区贸易为中心，分析评述了 10世纪到19世纪前期南中国海贸易圈的主要流通商品、贸易的规模和交换的方式，讨论了跨区域远程海上贸易对环南中国海地区周边国家，乃至世界范围内的经济和文化交往，以及国际关系格局所产生的影响。同时，本文力图超越南中国海区域史的视域，将南中国海贸易置于整个东亚贸易和世界贸易的大背境下进行探究，以联系的、整体的视角审视寻找各大贸易圈之间的联系和互动，讨论南中国海贸易圈在推动世界贸易体系形成过程中的地位和作用。 论文综合运用历史学、文献学、经济学、地理学、人口学、社会学、民俗学等相关学科的视野和方法，对10至19世纪前期南中国海贸易圈发展状况进行梳理后，对南中国海贸易圈的发展带来的经济、文化、科技、人口等交流互动，以及城市的发展等方面进行了讨论。论文认为：一千多年来南中国海贸易圈的发展和实践表明，南中国海贸易圈维系和推动了周边地区社会经济的发展，并在一定程度上形成了“区域性的人类命运共同体”。在数千年的时间内，南中国海担当着促进周边国家和地区贸易及文化交流的媒介，它不只是商品交流的“贸易之海”，也是各国文明互动的“文化交流之海”和科技传播的“造福人类之海”，更是各国人民和平友好、共生共荣的“和平友谊之海”。历史表明，只有南中国海保持和平、贸易繁荣，周边地区才能和平安宁、经济进步、文明昌盛。 从全球视野的角度下去重新认识南中国海贸易圈的整体变迁，从中发现其兴盛、衰落和复兴的原因，对于回顾中国作为世界海洋大国的悠久历史，揭示长期以来被部分外国学者所遮蔽、误读甚至扭曲的中国海洋文明史，重塑中国自古至今海洋贸易繁盛的“现实存在”的历史事实，对推动“一带一路”倡议中的“海上丝绸之路”的建设等，具有十分重要的现实意义。 关键词：全球史 南中国海贸易圈 朝贡贸易 殖民贸易

 A study on the development of the trade circle in the South China Sea area from the global perspective will help us to view today's South China Sea dispute and promote the prosperity of the South China Sea trade circle. For thousands of years, the South China Sea area has mainly been an open sea with cooperation and mutual benefits as well as "a sea of friendship" that China communicates with the rest of the world. In this sea area, China and foreign countries have developed trade, exchanged civilizations, migrated populations, and promoted economic and social development. This paper puts the history of the South China Sea region into the field of global history research. It focuses on the trade in the South China Sea region, expounding the scale of the South China Sea trade circle, main commodities, and the way of trade exchange from 10〓 century to the early 19〓 century, and analyzing the impact of trans-regional long-distance maritime trade on the surrounding countries of the South China Sea region, the world economic and cultural exchanges, and the pattern of international relations. At the same time, this research attempts to go beyond the perspective of the South China Sea region and conduct a study of the South China Sea trade circle against the background of the world trade circle. It also probes into the links and interactions among the trade circles from the interconnected and holistic perspective and explores the status and role of the South China Sea trade circle in promoting the formation of the world trading system. This dissertation employs various research methods of related disciplines, such as historiography, philology, economics, geography, demography, sociology, ethnology, in order to tease out the development of the South China Sea trade circle from the 10〓 to the early 19〓 centuries from diverse perspectives. In addition, the economic, cultural, scientific, technological exchanges and interactions, population migration and the development of the city brought by the development of the South China Sea trade circle are discussed. It is asserted that for more than one thousand years the development and practice of the South China Sea trade circle has maintained and promoted the social and economic development of the surrounding areas and to a certain extent, formed a "regional community with shared future for mankind". For thousands of years, the South China Sea has served as a medium for promoting trade and culture exchanges among neighboring countries and regions. Rather than merely being the "sea of trade" for commodity exchanges, the circle becomes the "sea of cultural exchanges", the "sea of spreading science and technology", and the "sea of peace and friendship" that benefits to all mankind. History has proven that only when the South China Sea maintains peace and prosperity, the surrounding areas could be peaceful, prosperous and civilized. To recognize the overall changes of the South China Sea trade circle, and explore the reasons for its prosperity, decline and rejuvenation from a global perspective is of vital importance to review the long history of China as the world's oldest ocean power, to reveal the history of China's maritime civilization that has been obscured, misread or even distorted by foreign scholars for a long time, to reshape the historical facts of the "real existence" of China's prosperous maritime trade since ancient times, and to promote the construction of the "Maritime Silk Road" in the "Belt and Road" initiative.
